Birthdays-- It was my Mom's birthday last week (10/11), so I called her up to greet her Happy Birthday. We chatted for a while, she tells me my older sister had called an hour before me, and that she's waiting for her sister from LA to call her later... then I asked... So Mom, pila na imong edad ron? (how old are you today?). She goes "59 na..." Then I thought... hey wait a minute, she was born 1944, and it's 2002 this year, her age is supposed to be an even number... I ask, "Sure ka Mh'y...?" Then she goes... "Aw, 58 pa diay..." I thought that was really funny. It just shows that Mom no longer keeps track of her age... :) I had my birthday 4 days before the 11th -- and MAN, I wish I also didn't keep track... I had a happy birthday though...
